Vegan Breakfast

One of the most challenging aspects of vegan cooking is breakfast.
Here are some ideas to help you get started:
Add whole wheat flour, other whole grains, and ground flax seeds to your breakfast dishes to add nutritional value.

Vegan Sourdough Pancakes with Real Maple Syrup
The sourdough starter should be made one day before using, but in a pinch, a couple of hours will do.
Vegan Breakfast Burrito Bar
Suggestions: tofu scrambler, roasted potatoes, seitan bacon,  roasted onions and bell peppers, salsa, avocado, vegan sour cream
Vegan Breakfast Burrito with Vegan Coffee Cake and Fresh Fruit

Vegan Banana Bread
It is always nice to have a real good banana bread recipe to deal with the inevitable over-ripened bananas!

Vegan Coffee Cake
(I was a little slow with the taking the photo, but it looked great!)

Vegan Roasted Potatoes
Experiment using a medley of potatoes for a gourmet look. Also try different infused oils such as rosemary or garlic.

Vegan Doughnuts
Fresh out of the fryer is as good as it gets!

Vegan Oatmeal
Use water as the base and add vegan ingredients such as apples, walnuts, peaches, coconut milk, and dried fruit. Sweeten, if desired,  with pure maple syrup, brown sugar, jam, or stevia.
Seitan Bacon
Made with vital wheat gluten flour, vegetable oil, water,
liquid smoke, and maple syrup.

Vegan Quiche Lorraine
Made with chopped seitan bacon, tofu, and caramelized onions.

Breakfast is served!
