The 17th Annual Boston Vegetarian Food Festival

This was my first time at the Boston Vegetarian Food Festival. I volunteered and was lucky enough to be chosen to work in the kitchen. The advantage to working in the kitchen is you get to meet some of the stars. 

This day included Michael Greger, MD who is the author of Bird Flu and Carbophobia, (and fellow Lantern Books author), Chef Laura Theodore who is the Host of The Jazzy Vegetarian Cooking Show and the cookbook author of The Jazzy Vegetarian, and Chef Christine Waltermyer who is Founder & Director of The Natural Kitchen Cooking School and the cookbook author of The Natural Vegan Kitchen.

While there were many different types of vegan food to sample there seemed to be a large amount of seitan options highlighted.

Josh is the cover designer for my first cookbook The Vegan Family Cookbook. Josh and I both lived in Portland Oregon but ironically it was not until I went to the Boston Vegetarian Food Festival that I got to meet him in person.
